CL175 - Replace wires or Coil

anyone know if you can just swap out the spark plug wires on these coils or if the whole assembly needs to be replaced? I saw some OEM coils on Ebay for ~ $70 (?!). Is there a better place to get aftermarket coils?

While I've heard is possible to replace the wires, they aren't made that way. I always just get Dyna coils and separate wires.

Dime City cycles has spark plug wire splicers. Allow you to cut the Spark Plug wire short, splice in new wire...

Thanks for the feedback! If I were to replace with a universal coil I would just be looking for a 12v 5ohm dual fire coil?

You need a single dual lead coil.

It says for four cylinder, but your type twin uses the same 2 lead, single coil type. You use one of these coils. A four cylinder uses 2 of them.

Bike bandit says it wont "fit", but I'm not worried about whether or not it will physically fit, more concerned about it's functioning.

Order a cb750 coil from ebay. Same thing. Thats what I did, best price for what you get. Also the coil is working magnificently on my cb200.
