CL175- 'Soda'

that is one badass little bike. I absolutely love the color scheme and paint work- probably one of the coolest I have seen in a while.
One question for you- where did you get that license bracket? I need one exactly like that and would appreciate the help

Thanks! I have a couple of bikes and this one is my favorite to ride as it is small and nimble. I often pick it over my Thruxton, lol.

The license plate bracket came with a CB350 I bought so I am not sure where it came from, sorry I can't be more help. Could have been ebay. It is inexpensive chrome plated and had a made in China or Taiwan sticker on it ;D

I am pretty sure the seat is a UNIBTA from GFTP that I cut down (I say 'pretty sure' as I have 6-7 different models of Bret's seats and it is hard to keep them all strait :). I chose not to have it upholstered as I wanted it to be slimlined.

Here's a close up of the paint . . .

Great job...love the color combo!
Also plan on painting my current cb360 project a rootbeer bronze brown! :D

Thanks ALL! I smile everytime I look at it ;D

Picking the right color(s) is tough- at first, I was a bit hesitant about the rootbeer color, and now I am thinking of using it on my CB550 project.

which pod filters did you use on there? Need a set of them for my CB200 and it looks like those fit perfectly. I checked out some K&N ones with a 20 degree angle but they seem longer than yours. LMK

Got 'em off ebay, off-brand but do fit perfectly. I looked in "my ebay" and could not find them, sorry. They were relatively cheap and I think I bought four of them (two extras for my CB100 and CB125). I think I got all four for under $30. Now that I think of it, I am pretty sure I contacted the seller and bought outside of ebay . . .

found something like them on ebay, thanks.
One more question- I noticed that the PODs themselves are not angled, but rather you have an angled rubber piece between carb and POD- where did you get that angled adaptor?

It was all part of the filter which is why I bought them- the 175 carbs are really close to the downtube of the frame.

I think this was it:

great, that's what I was looking for. I have a cb200, which has basically the same frame as yours. .As you mention, the center support is very close to carbs.

beautiful beautiful stuff, i really appreciate the color choices. i kind of wish i had a cl instead of a cb, just for the upswept pipes.

are you located in ohio?

thankyou! that is good info. I looks fantastic!!

JF-

My painter is local and for anyone interested, a paint scheme like mine (3 colors + striping, cleared) would be around $425 (+ return shipping). He is a great guy and a perfectionist. I have two more tank/seat sets in line . . . ;D

The rear tire is a Coker Firestone replica 3.50. They are readily available online, including ebay. I wish they made a smaller one for the front, but I believe 3.50 is the smallest. They are a bit pricey, but cool looking.

Thanks!
