CL175 Throttle Cable Routing

Barnburner

Coast to Coast
Does anybody have a good image for the proper throttle cable routing for a CL175? I had previously routed mine underneath the tank tunnel on the top of the frame backbone then down one side before it splits into the dual cables, but I have a suspicion this may be incorrect. I have some issues with the slides not smoothly operating and I want to rule out the cable as the culprit. I tried to route it like is shown on the below pic of a CB175, but the cable is too short, causing the slides to open upon turning. So, I assume the CL had a different route to deal with the added distance due to the high bars. Thanks in advance.

Did you ever figure this out?

I have this same problem right now with my '71 CL175. I'm currently routing mine on the right side, under the tank. Had it on the left side and pulled the throttle too much. Now on the right side, it's a bit less, but still pulls when I turn right.

I did end up get it to work, but I sold the bike last fall and can't remember exactly which way it was routed. I believe it was similar to the above picture - I just found an extra couple of inches by changing the routing around the headlight.
