CL350 Cuts out Mid RPM

Been Around the Block
My CL350 Runs great at lower RPMs up to about 6000, and cuts out between there and about 7500, meaning that if I roll on the throttle gradually, I can't rev past 6000, but if I gun it, I can get past the mid range and into the higher RPMs. My points are fresh timed properly. What could this be?

Holes in the CV slide rubbers?
Clogged mid range jets?
Condensers?
Coils?

If it's my CV rubbers (I replaced them a few years ago with good condition used ones) is there anyone who makes new ones?

A hole in the CV rubbers would prevent the slides from lifting up - so no high rpm. Now, if they were stiff, they might struggle to get past the midrange.

I'm going to say it's not your coils either. When they go bad, the break up at high rpm, and over heat after 20 to 30 minutes of running.

Might be a great idea to open up your carbs and clean them.
