Cleaning the garage

Fix

With a shirt like this, who needs pants?
We moved into our house over 6 years ago. I'm finally getting around to cleaning out and setting up the garage. I had cleared space for my bike, but that was about it. So yesterday I went on a rampage of throwing out things we obviously never needed.

I had snagged some counter top for free, I think it was a miscut custom order, or wrong color or something. I don't care, it's workbench to me.

Getting an idea of how i want to set it up.

This will be a real low dough project, so I'm hacking, reusing, and scavenging everything I can for it.

Here's the other side of the garage so far, that table thing was reclaimed from work after we no longer needed it there.

Obviously, everything is still a huge mess, but I'll post progress as I make it.

Organizing the workspace is a must for me, mine is always a mess, but tools always go back to where they are supposed to be.
over 15 years of working on bikes and cars, I have only lost one essential tool - my 10mm wrench.

I'm pretty disorganized. I intend to try and combat that with the new garage setup. We'll see. :)

Heck yeah! I think repurposing other peoples construction debris is the best way to build out the car hole. Shane and I both did our garages from garbage picked materials. Hell, the chop saw we used for cutting even came from the trash. Get her ready for the summer pal.

I need to get a bin behind my garage and get ruthless with tossing stuff out.

Be careful what you toss. I had 4 pretty cruddy CB wheels I was going to get rid of but just couldn't bring myself to do it. I ended up selling them all for a total of about $100 at mid Ohio. Made another $300 of of other random parts that have been cluttering my garage as well. And I was cutting people serious deals on the stuff just to move it along. Haven't thrown anything away since.
