I know its been on here before, but I would like to see some pics of anyone who has clear coated bare metal tanks and how they did it etc.....Thinking about it on one of my bikes? Also how long does it last? Thanks all!!!

I personally wouldn't spray clear coat it. I'd have it clear powder coated. Much much more durable. Key is the surface prep. Are you going to polish the tank or have it beadblasted? It takes a lot of work to get an even surface. It did it once for a guy's calipers and it was a pain in the ass.

yep.. Ive clear coated bare metal tanks over the years and made some mistakes..
1. if you are going to use the spray on clear coat, dont polish up the metal.. It will just peel off a week later.
2. the spray on clear turns yellow a year or two later.
3. best thing for bare metal, (if you dont want to spring for clear powercoating), is Por-15 PC Glisten. Its a marine grade clear coat for any bare metal. Also, its non-porus and turns rock hard after 1 application..(in other words, good luck trying to take it off if you mess it up...)
