I just went to the one in Novi Mi. this past weekend. I was a little dissapointed. BMW & Triumph factory representation were missing. Triumph was not there last year either. A Triumph dealer brought a few bikes. Ton's of cruisers and cruiser people. On the plus side: there was a sort of "American Flyer" display with 3 beautifully crafted Cafe' bikes, made from what seemed to be dirt bikes. (sorry for the crap photos, I need a new camera) You will definately get some major inspiration from those! VJMC was there with a few (OEM of course) Jap bikes. The best booth went to the Motorcycle Museum. Fantastic display of old stuff, especially Triumph. Duc was very prepared as usual. KTM's were awsome. And a few other interesting things. I wanted to meet Jacki Van Ham but she was not there. She rode her vintage BMW all over Europe this past summer, and is supposed to be at the Cycle World booth at these shows. ?? I just wish I hadn't had to drive so far. (6 hrs)
I wouldn't say don't go, cause it's still a moto event in the middle of winter. How can that be bad? I'd check to see who is going to be there for sure first... and ..... they did have a bar! also...Go Early
