Club Laverda Queensland (Australia) Concours - Lots of pic's!!!

Hey all, Club Laverda Qld hosts a Concours event every year (I'm not a member though) and I haven't been since about 2000 when my 450 was still on the road in stock standard form.


Anyway, I joined some fellas from the GS Resources and Katana Australia forums yesterday and we headed down to have a gawk at what was on show.


Unfortunately I didn't end up photographing a single Laverda all day!


Here's all 110 photos I took... enjoy! Oh, and these are all copy/pastes from the other forums so apologies if some comments don't make 100% sense...



So, the meet up:

Eric's Kat is in need of a rebuild so he rode his Harley:

And there's too many photos to label each one and it'll take me all night, so I'm just gonna post them all and might stick a note here and there if something stands out...

Love the Scrambler, and that Arrow pipe was one of the inspirations for my 450's pipe:

These appear to be done by a local Brisbane custom bike shop Ellaspede... I'm going to guess you fellas are members here :

Love the pipes on this Norton, and from memory it was supercharged as well:

This unrestored 1926 Norton really took my eye:

And then we headed out to the bike parking which was almost as good as the show itself:

You can tell this Kat isn't a trailer queen:

Aside from the Kats the GS(X) models were very under represented today, but we found this very nice example of an 1100 to gawk at:

And a brief chat with the owner of this SB4 revealed he has attempted to polish it up with some bitumen:

If I was to buy a modern bike, it would be either a Triumph Scrambler or possibly one of these:

That's where the camera got full but snapped these two with the work iPhone as it was quite tasty:
