i've been lurking for a little while try to find a cheap bike to start on
i found a cheap 81 cm400t on craigslist, bought it monday, and got it impounded for riding home with no plate...great...

i've got it back and rode it to work today

hopefully, i can start work on it soon
here it is sitting at my apartment by my car

i would have shown him your title that was signed over.... i mean, if you crashed into someone..... you cant exactly ride away.... lol

in my excitement of buying a new bike,
A. i hadn't signed the title yet
2. i didn't notice that the guy i bought it from had never titled or registered it to himself. the title was signed as sold in april 2006
D. thought it would all be ok, and i could just take it home

let that be a lesson to all first time buyers!

Hey, this is actually my 1st time here. I too just bought a CM400 (E) last week. 1st bike, 1st ride, love it; and of course now I am hooked. I look forward to all the great ideas here.
Thanks in advance, I will post some pics once I do something worthwhile to it.
