Can anyone in Colorado recommend a good motorcycle machine shop near or around Boulder? I'm looking to get some milling, cylinder honing and some snapped screw removal done.

Thanks!

Not in Boulder but Faster motorsports in Denver has always treated me well. Prices are decent and they don't mind working on older bikes.

Denver People - I'm looking for some 1.75" Exhaust Tubing and either some pre bent mandrel bends (45 deg) or an exhaust shop that will bend up some tubing at specified angles. I've tried a few muffler shops but their dies only go down to 2". Any help will be much appreciated.

Jake,

I have a guy that custom welds anything stainless for you. He did my roadster exhaust and if very good. Not cheap but if you can swing it, stainless is nice. PM me if you can't find another direction.

Good to know, but I'm just using mild steel since I'll be utilizing the existing headers. This is going on my chopper project and will be chromed so no need for stainless.

Hello Denver Crew!!!!

Since finishing my CB750..selling it and moving on through a new GS1000 project, I found a super clean CX500 C. It has something like 35K on the clock (nothing for these bikes), SUPER,SUPER clean tank/paint/and side covers. I mean this bike is CLEAN!!!!

Anyway, I am going to sell the CX to gather funds for the GS and thought I would offer it up to the Colorado Crew first before posting it in the BUY/SELL/TRADE forum and/or Craigslist.

I have pictures, so if you guys are at all interested, let me know.

NOTE: It does have the peanut tank rather than the Deluxe tank, so it would probably make a better RAT or Bobber than a cafe, though I was going to throw a 1/4 fairing and some drag bars on it and use it for commuting. Add to that some "peashooter" silencers, and it would be a respectable cafe bike as well, just not ideal.

I will leave this post here for a few days. If no action from the Colorado contingent, I will post in the BUY/SELL/TRADE forum, if still no interest, it goes to the Philistines on Craigslist....

A CL posting will be asking $1300....for DTT members, let's talk about $1000.

I realize that the "C" model is not really a sought after bike, but this bike is really clean, running, and clear Colorado title in hand. I would like to see it go to a home that will make it a real beauty so please let me know if you are interested. I will try to get pics up here today or tomorrow. they are available for anyone with interest also.

The bike and I are both located in Lakewood/Edgewater area, so feel free to e-mail-text or call @ 303-596-2833...ask for Madcap

unless they changed the location. It will be at the 404 club on Broadway. I'm hoping to get there before 7. What about you?
