good info there ! there is also the danger of adding too much oil, in a bent rod, an extreme but a possible deal to be avoided
as long as the tester has the shraeder valve at the screw in fitting then the correct value will be observed,no matter how long or big the hose it may take extra cranking over if the hose is long but soon the pressure shown on the gauge will same as actual compreshun
