Copper sulphate for plating..?..

Stanwich

yep, i did it. no excuse.
Hi everyone! Here's my problem. I want to try DIY copper plating but I can't find any copper sulphate for sale. The closest I can find is bordo copper spray for plants which claims to be 53% tribasic copper sulphate. Do you think this would be good enough . I think it contains lime . I'm going to try for fun anyways on some small brackets but would still like some input.

Just make your own. All you need is hydrogen peroxide sulfuric acid and copper.

Zep commercial root kill $12.98 at Lowes or Roebic K-77, pricing similar, are 99% copper sulfate. Link to Roebic's MSDS page for K-77: http://www.roebic.com/pdf/msds/K-77-MSDS.pdf Happy plating!
