I'm brand new to the state. And to bikes, really, but I'm trying to get more welding exp. under my belt, because it has been a few years since I first tried to weld. I'm wondering if there is anyone who will take me under there wing and show me a few things and sip beers!

(the beers would be on me ;D)

where do you meet for bike night? I'd be up for getting to know the area and the community better. Whats the scene like here? are people usually pretty welcoming of n00bs/outsiders?

We just meet at my house in my make shift shop out back. We meet on wednesdays. Can't speak for everyone else in the area but my group of grease monkies are very welcoming to noobies. We have people of all skill levels show up. From masters of all things mechanical to the guys that are there to just get away from their wife and kids for a while. I've got a small mig and a heavy duty lincoln squarewave tig welder, a tubing bender, and most hand tools that you would need.
