Hi all....
Long time lurker, just thought I'd say hello finally and mention some of my personal projects. I do engine electronics for road-racing sport bikes, so I keep a couple oldies around as a bit of a break from the job. Needles and Jets instead of Laptops and Traction Control, or something like that.
Sorry for a lot of the crap phone pics, but documentation seems to get lost in the activity and the phone is always the easiest to grab.
Bone stock '73 CB125: We use this thing at the races, easy to ride, easy to start. Carries two-up with no problem. Love this little bike.
Pit Rat: '78 YZ80, all cut up and out of proportion. Will end up with a 200-ish cc dirt bike motor. For when you've got to get across the paddock in a hurry.
Budget '75 CB750: Gonna be a brat. Was given this bike as a gratuity. Barely ran, nothing else works...
Stocker '78 GS550: $400 runner that became an exercise in "How Cafe can it get using as many stock parts as possible. <- In progress
Boardie Brat '82 Schwinn: My brother's. The official "Put a Bigger Smile on Your Face than Deserves to be there" bike around the shop. Quick 50mph pick-me-up in the middle of the day.
The MadMax CB400: Not mine, a friend's that I did all the electrical on. Still in love with it.
That's what goes on around here. I may do a build thread on the GS as it gets better, if anyone cares.
Thanks to this site for the inspiration. Keep it coming!
