Cracked Frame

I'm doing a teardown of a '72 Kawi H1 which I bought from the estate of the original owner. Once I actually get the project going I'll start a project thread, but right now I've got a cracked frame to deal with. So here's my question: Can this be fixed safely? If so I don't have any welding equipment, could someone recommend a guy in the Toronto area who can do this for me.

In other news, if I can't fix it I'll be parting out a '72 H1, the tank is pristine.

Thanks.

Sure can be fixed. Its just metal. Not sure of local shops in TO as I'm not local but I'm sure you won't have much trouble finding someone. Looks likena pretty simple repair for a skilled welder/fabricator.

Pm drewski he is very up on kaw triples and there shortcomings and how to correct them. those motors break frames and if you do part it get ahold of me or vonyinzer first. Where ya live ;)

Yep - hit up Drewski, who is also a GTA member (as am I). I have a welder I trust who is up in the 401/McCowan area. But, while I'm no expert, I'd be concerned about 'how' it got broken, and if it's possible the frame is bent. Either way get in touch with Drewski and if you want the welder I work with PM me and I'll get you his contact info.

if not properly shimmed the triples crack frames...

you may want to join the canadian triples board
