1980 CB400T Replaced stator, and cdi.....tested a new coil and still no spark. any ideas where I might look. just stopped working one day. I was wiring up a toggle switch and the wires came undone while the bike was running. (stupid yes I'm aware) and now I can't figure it out for the life of me.

I'm sure you've checked this but a fuse perhaps. Switch them out with new anyways. I had one where visually it was ok but it drove me crazy for a few days.
it also sounds like you've got a wiring not connected somewhere in the harness

I believe it's an open coil on the stator. I did replace the stator but apparently its not good.
