Most of us have crashed at one point or another in our lives. Whether it be on a motorcycle, dirt bike, bicycle, or a car.
We have also broken bones and had hospital stays. And in the end, we have a cool story to tell.
Here's mine:
Last July, we went to New York, where Travis is from, to visit his parents for vacation. It was Wednesday afternoon, and we decided to go riding after his dad came home from work. Travis grew up racing dirt bikes and his dad, at 58 years old, still races. I was on a Honda CRF 80 and his dad was on a KTM 250F. He passed me on a turn, and I must have hit a rut and turned left in front of him, and we crashed.
I had a broken left collar bone, dislocated left shoulder, broken left hand (3rd metacarpal bone), bruised spleen with internal bleeding, and a concussion. I don't remember anything, which is probably a good thing. I was put in ICU for 2 nights and 1 extra night there. His dad was fine.
Lesson learned: No passing in the air or turning left.
Dirt Bikes
My left hand about a week later...
My hand looked horrible...
With my sisters, Jessie, me and Pam

So be careful on whatever you ride and have fun!
