Looking for a custom oil tank for a CB750
I would like something smooth but the angled chopper types from back in the day will work too.
Would like something that mounts to the stock frame
Good luck on that one! You will mostly find the round oil tanks. The nice hidden ones that help clear the triangle are usually one off's that someone has had made and provided specs for.
Read somewhere of one made by Benji that leaked really bad. According to what I read in that same thread, Benji did try to make up for it.
Not looking for an open triangle or a home built tank
In the 70-80s a few company made a ton of tanks for choppers that mounted to the stock frames. They have a cool old school look and were built right
Looking for the same thing right now. Did you se the "oil tnk as rear fender" mounted to the bottom of the fame by BrooklynMoto at Works last year? Was really classy
Got any pictures o this build yet? I was also planning a tracker inspired build. I thought it would be an interesting way of Countering the generally squat look of the 750. It's gonna be hard to give it some height with me being all of 5'6 though.
Yeah I know they made alot of them, just seems like there are none out on the interwebs though.
Im asking around on the chopper board and trying to contact some of the older guys in the area that might have one sitting under a bench some place
