Custom Gauge Lowering Any Bike - Motorcycle Dashboard - SOLID WORKS PICS BELOW

Been Around the Block
Have an idea for your new gauge location?Want your ignition moved?Want to downsize the bulky stock honda gauges? Well I am offering my service to design on solid works, and machine out a custom bracket to lower your gauges from 3/8" aluminum on a CNC Mill/Plasma/Lathe machines. See below.

All I need are the dimensions of your old bracket/gauges you want to use, and an idea of what you want it to look like/what else to incorporate into the motorcycle dash. From there I can design it on solid works, get your approval, and have it machined out and sent out to you in no time! Turn around time is dependent on what material you want to use, and overall complexity of design. Prices range from ($50.00 - ?) Shoot me a pm/email or feel free to post here.

Well, I have recently designed and am in the process machining a new bracket that lowers my own gauges and figured I might as well see if anyone else is interested. Mine is for a honda CB200, but can adjust and customize designs for other models. Mine is made from 3/8" aluminum and eliminates the old gauge housing of the tachometer and recesses the tachometer gauge face into the aluminum. In addition it accommodates my relocated ignition and has 3 other holes in it for all my Push Button LED Switches(Lights/Starter/Coils). Will post pics very soon.

Might be worth looking at.....I would love to see the pics to see if it might improve the home fabricated 3/8 aluminum single gauge (tach) bracket I have on my CB550 Brat/Imp. Plus you get a bump.

Thanks man,

I will post my solid works pictures tomorrow so you guys can see a preview of just the part. Then I will post the pictures of the part post machining, and mocked up with dummy lights and switches.

Very interested to see a picture

there are a couple shots of what the part looks like in SolidWorks. Once I get the time, I will be machining it next.

Re: Custom Gauge Lowering Any Bike - Motorcycle Dashboard - SOLID WORKS PICS

Yes I can, Just depends the overall look you are going for, if you want to move your ignition or anything else as well. From there I can make a design plan.

I need a bracket to hold a single large Yamaha tach onto a billet top tree with no mounting locations currently provided. Will do some measuring.

Can you put a bend in the plate? So the gauge is angled towards the rider? I'm not so much interested in lowering it (headlight issues) as I am having a clear and easy to read tach, like you'd see on a race bike. Up where I can see it.

Re: Custom Gauge Lowering Any Bike - Motorcycle Dashboard - SOLID WORKS PICS BEL

Bending the aluminum is not something I have played around with as the shop does not have the proper tools to do it cleanly. However, It does not mean its impossible. What I am doing on mine in place of the bend is cutting the spacers to a slight angle to create the bend that I need.
