Just sharing how I eliminated the bolt on swingarm/passenger footpeg mounting plate and replaced it with custom rearset mounting tabs and welded in place swingarm mount.
To make the swingarm mount I just cut the piece I needed from the old bolt on plate and welded it on.
And to make the rearset tabs I just cut small triangles of 1/4 inch steel welded them on and drilled/tapped for the rearset bolts.
The rearsets sit pretty close to the same location they would if I just bolted them on how they were designed to be used so the supplied linkage will work. In my opinion mounting this way makes a big difference in cleaning up the previously cluttered appearence and saving a little weight too.
Plus the rearsets are very sturdy mounted this way whereas before there was alot of flex to them, which is one of the main reasons I wanted to custom mount them.
