You roll the tape one time around.. Then pull it out about 7 inches out, start twirling. The tape turns into almost wire. You wrap the wire nice and even. When you get to the other end wrap it in tape on the way back. Real easy to do, hope this explains it. This is how hockey players get the same effect on their sticks. This could also be done with Tennis wraps if you want a more leather feeling. I wanted the tacky canvas feeling with my leather gloves.
nice man! if you flip it to the other side it will get it higher and a bit tighter into the bike... nice work man looks way better than on the shock! with that trim ring watch for vibration on the bracket, i have seen parts that are bent and not re enformced snap off, dont want to loose that plate
a simple angle bracket may be the answer bud... check this out
here you can see one i made using a simple shelve angle bracket... obviously you would not need the top light part but you can shave the plate support out of any scrap metal and rivit that to the bracket. drill out the hole a bit bigger and bolt it on
