The CVMG Paris Rally is the Canadian Vintage Groups largest rally of the year featuring Vintage and Classic motorcycles, hundreds of cycles, seminars, concours, trials, group ride and a large swap meet.
Check the site below.

This year DTT and CRO are joining together to promote the event and organise a group meet / camp over at the rally.
To this point we have 12 riders camping over showing at least 15 cafe, bobber and custom cycles. Hopefully we will get a lot more members joining in showing our cycles as group. We have tentative plans laid out that will be posted in the coming weeks, check the website and try to come out and make the event memorable.

Let's see if we can get as many of our friends out there as possible - I try to make it to this event every year for the awesome swap meet.

For anyone dropping by or if anyone plans on camping a group of us will be camping in the area indicated by the arrow. Up to now we have about 12 guys camping and quite a few dropping by for the day, there will be a couple of DTT guys and the rest will be CRO ( Café Racers Ontario ) Some of the bikes we will have will be 1950's Enfield Bobber, 1960's BSA Café, 1960's Norton Café, several Honda CB750's hopefully an AJS 7R, a Triumph chopper, Triumph Bobber, Triumph Bonny and so on. Drop by say hello!

Is that bike for sale Boner? Looks familiar and I thought I some it or one very similar running the Kijiji highway. Any ways, I am going to try my hardest to get out to this meet and bring my CB500 Cafe. A bit of a drive coming from Brockville, Ontario area but should be a great road-trip!

Not mine its the same bike I had when I was a kid but back then it had a 650ss engine now I keep swapping the engines, next year it will be completely different. Hope you make it there seems to be a lot of day visitors and maybe a dozen campers so far. If we don't get the area pointed out look for the Snorton Norton!
Ride safe.

I'm planning on zipping out early Saturday. Got a list for the swap meet :) Will do my best to be wearing some DTT colors.

Tim, make sure you look for the Manx red tanked Norton ES2 and call by and say hello !

I am looking to come out Sunday morning, it just depends if the ride gets put back together for the weekend.........working on it in the evenings until late just to make it out! I might be the only cafed CX

I'm in for (later) Saturday morning.
Turns out the Rally is my Father's Day present. Sadly, I don't have a triple sidecar, so the fam and I will be there in the Cage. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Sorry we missed ya Cookie, not as many turned up as planned but close to 20 or so members of either CRO or DTT did and it was good to chat with them. Overall the rally was good although it appeared to have less participants and the quality of cycles there didn't seem as dazzling as in past years. I missed Tim not sure if he made it but overall it was a good time.
Kamn there was a CX500 part of the CRO group he had just bought it and worked on it at the rally.

I actually made it; was there with Wifey and kiddos. Got hung up in the swap meet however and didn't quite make it back to where DTT and CRO were parked. I did get a look at Drewski's Mongrel though, before baby became inconsolable, 7-year-old was bored and Wifey's yet-to-fully-heal injuries started hampering our progress and we had to roll tide. I did get a look at the black H2 (I think it's the Mongrel?) before turning back.
So sad we couldnt meet you all

The "black h2" is actually Trevor's crazy 2 stroke that he and Red's created! It's super sick!! Great guys too! 8)

Mine is the hey-look-at-me Kawi Green one. Mine was out in the parking lot... filthy and not really on display. ;) ;D

Sorry I missed you guys! I totally gapped out and didn't even look you up! My Bad!

Ahh, I see.
It really is a bad ass machine. incredible attention to detail! Again, sorry to have missed you guys, I'm stoked to eventually meet you all. In the near future, perhaps after the Tempter is finished and ridable.

Damn it! I am still kicking myself for not making it........I just couldnt get her back together on time. I would have loved to see some of the other rides and meet some of the guys.

Will there be any other meetups in the TO area??

Biggest turn out i've seen in a very long time if not ever since i've been going. Not as many bikes for sale, but my buddy Goggles picked up a complete set of 4 pipes for his RZ500 for $50, so some good deals to be had.
Best part of the the weekend was hanging with the Kawi Triples guys at their yearly meet up in town (not affiliated with CVMG) on the Friday night to which we came back to fairgrounds at 11pm to find the entire campsite was asleep. we even walked around to where you guys had mapped out. I guess after the showings of Matlock and Wheel Of Fortune were over, everbody hit the hay!! :p

And always, we had a lot of good response to Trevs black H2. Good shooting the shit about bikes with people. And I believe Kawasaki's production numbers for the triples might be lower than what was actually produced seeing as everybody I talked to had owned one! ;)
