Hi, does anyone know if there are any bikes that have standard brembo calipers that fit the cx500, preferrably straight bolt on, im no engineer... otherwise, new ones that will fit? Obviously i would want master cylinder and reservoir to match. Ive been in touch with some suppliers, but am not getting any answers. Im wanting ohlins shocks too, but thats another thread, and i haven't really looked yet...

there is none that i am aware of nor have a iever seen one most just upgrade to a dual piston caliper or calipers

with stainless steel line/s

unless a front end swap is done then you get more modern brakes and possibility's

Bummer, thanks, im looking into a front end, i have a contact with an entire gsx600 front end for relatively small money, will have to research compatibility, i would prefer a cbr600, i know that just needs the correct bearings and pretty much just slips on

gsxr front ends need a stem to convert to honda frame i buy them from cognito moto he supplies them with the correct

all balls bearing kit this one works

http://cognitomoto.com/collections/fork-conversion-parts/products/gsx-r-fork-on-honda-cb750-frame-conversion-stem

and both front ends will leave you sorting one odd wheels and rotors ect to get handling and matching components

Make sure you look into the math that goes into the front end swaps......
Most don't even know that there is some....

math??

63.2 degree rake on the cx

23 degree rake on the gsxr

the heck with math darwin will work it out

I guess, figure most of those bikes don't even actually get used.
Heck, many never even run!

well when it comes to the cx crowd you would be placing a bad bet if you thought they dont get used lol

they are like cockroaches they keep getting up and going all over the world

and the crowd keeps getting bigger

They aren't really my thing. But they do have a following, and a very good owners group. I'm sure that is super helpful for new owners.

I made sure i rode mine as much as possible when i got it, considering it will be off the road for the better part of a year, if not longer... and i definitely intend riding her when she is done, otherwise, what's the point of having a bike at all?
