'Cycle Junkyards???

Looking for a place to score some old rearsets. I've called every "wrecker" or "Junkyard" i can find in and around Chicago but none have bikes. Where do all the smashed up Chicago bikes go? There has to be at least one place where you can go and pull old parts off of bikes.

BTW: If anyone happens to know where i can get some non-junkyard rearsets that's cool too...

I always drive by Fast Track on Oakton (between Linden St & Orchard St). They have a HUGE pile (almost literally) of junked bikes in their lot. I never went in there so I don't know how you go about stripping off parts. :-\

If you do end up going to Fast Track let me know, I would like to know if they have some old beater CB's

HELL if you want to go...ill go with you! i have a trailer we can slap anything on... let me knwo if ya'll want to go out there!

I got a pair of GSXR rearsets for $100 from FastTracks 4 my old CB450 build.
You can get whatever you want, they just wont let you walk/strip the parts off yourself.

SWEET! I thought that you had to buy the whole parts bike. For that price I may consider some rearsets! I wonder how they determine pricing...

Went to Fast Track yesterday. They wanted $140 for GSXR rearsets sans master cylinder. And Proteal's right, you can't just grab the parts yourself. Krukster, I doubt they have anything old. The guy said it's almost all sportbikes from post '90.

KK I think I would try F.T. if I want to go the rear-set route......after hounding eBay for a while ;)

Don't let those Des Plaines hillbilly's take ya. You can DEF. haggle with them on the prices.
They say $140, you say how bout $80 cash, and work out a deal from their.
It's a freakin junkyard, not a dealership..

ha ha ha ha what you looking for i can check my garage i have a ton of parts in there... usually i clean then up and powder them... then put them on ebay

I am in desperate need of some fork tubes that will work with my 72 Honda CL450..
If ANYONE has something they wanna get rid of (that isnt bent) please let me know...
