Is a any way to remove chrome plating at home? I know they use stripping bathes at a plating shop, is this something you can replicate at home?

I'm thinking a set-up like the soda bath and trickle charger kind of deal for removing rust.

Any thots?

I've heard you can use oven cleaner. Just spray it on the parts, cover them in plastic for 15 minutes then clean off with water. I haven't used this technique myself but I am going to try it on my headers. I'll let you know what happens.
