Dented tank repair & powder coating

we get allot of questions about repair on dented tanks... so figured i would show it done on this new tank we have in the shop for a forum member...there was zero filler used in this repair it was all done though metal work

Yeah but how did you remove the dents? Pins and slide hammer? Dent tools from inside? I have a definite interest in this topic.
 
Post a few photos of how the stud welder works for those who aren't familiar with them. The first time I saw one of these in action, I put my old screw-style slide hammer away for keeps.

use the stud welder to tack on a stud, slide hammer lightly tap out, add new stud, slide hammer lightly tap out, new stud, slide hammer... grind them all off, glide coat, sand.... blast it all off mark your points... tack stud, slide hammer, tack stud, slide hammer...

sorry guys i did not do the pics of the stud welder cause i would have 10000 pictures... to get a dent clean out it takes alot of work... when you over pull a dent you then use another attachment that heats the metal causing it do go back down... i wish i would have seen this! we just used it to pull the dents out of a crushed sport bike muffler!
