A few of us are heading out to Perry's Motorcycles and Sidecars this Saturday, Jan 15th, to look at some of the bikes in his museum... which, btw, I've just been told he's recently sold a lot of his bikes :( ..... pretty informal and loose regarding schedule.. We'd want to get there around 11 or 12.. I believe he closes at 2 on Saturdays.. Then afterwards go grab some lunch and giggle about our hopes, dreams, and first times... on a bike...

It's free and he has a wide assortment of 2-wheeled things that are guaranteed to give you a raging bike boner... He also has motorcycles.

Post up if you think you'd be interested and we'll all sort out the deets... Also if you have some stuff that needs wrenched on, bring it.. This dude is freaking legit. I will personally be bringing some heads for a valve job and hone.

Yeah, I can probably swing it. I live right by Perry's, but I've never been there. Need a more definite time. Any ideas for lunch?

Where do you guys plan on having lunch?

Sundance square is just around the corner... there are tons of places to eat there... Uno, Razzoos, *cough mumble* The Flying Saucer *cough*

If going downtown, I'd prefer the Saucer too. Uno's and Razzoo's, meh. We could go down to 7th street, just west of downtown. M&O Station Grill has one of the best, if not the best, burger in town. Chuy's just opened and is decent. Fred's Cafe is a neat little bar/restaurant that also has a fantastic burger -- featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Fred's might prove difficult to seat if there are more than 5-6 of us, unless it's comfortable outside. The food possibilities over there are endless.

Matt has never been to Chuys so my vote goes to Chuys and the Saucer, probably in that order. Should we do Perry's early so I don't get all pissy from the lack of lunch? ;D

Hrmmn weather says wet and cold...boooo

I can deal with one or the other, but both at the same time kinda sucks.

Neither Matt or I have anything running on two wheels so we'll be driving.

At least you're in a position where the weather can actually affect your mode of transportation.. My beloved needs a gas tank STAT!

LOL

Shit, I thought we were going to ride. Bummer. If it's wet and cold, I won't ride either. I don't really have cold weather gear, but I can make do with just the cold by layering; however, nor do I have any rain gear. Like rkatapt, one or the other, but not both. I guess I could take the cage. All you BMW guys might be jealous of my Guzzi's perky tits anyway. ;)

Haha. Don't let my lack of two wheeled transport keep you down. If you want to ride, ride!

So, what time should we meet at Perry's? Do any of the people on the Dallas side of town want to meet up and caravan?

I'm up for it, I'd like to grab a ride from north Dallas or where ever y'all are meeting up before heading west. Happy to chip in gas or buy driver a beer :)

I wish I could attend guys, but I'm working. Take pics for the rest of the class, especially anything military!

He's got some awesome WWII Beemers. You see the pic with the MG-42... He also has a sweet Afrika Corps bike.

I say we meet up at your place, or south since you're between Skyler and myself. I'm in Little Elm.

do you commute north in the mornings? I saw a BMW cafe a few months ago heading north on Preston at Parker at about 8. I drive that every morning, usually about half an hour earlier though.

Nope, I sold my only working motorcycle.

Yeah, I asked you about that sighting before and you said it wasn't you. That was my first thought though because it did look like your bike... from the quick glance I got.
