Diagram of a non permanent magnet RR

I have an RR from Sonrier for my '75 CB750. I would like to know what a diagram for this thing looks like. Mostly just to satisfy my curiosity, but also to understand the difference between the red and the black wire. I believe the red goes directly to the battery and the black runs to a switched power location.

Which R/R are you using? Colors on the wires coming from the unit?

Red to battery positive is correct and black should see 12V when the ignition switch is turned on.
