I need some dimesnions of a GL1000 front end as points of comparison. I'm looking for the 78-79 model specifically which had a comstar front wheel fitted.
I need the following:
I've been digging about and can' seem to find any of these dimensions anywhere. Even better would be if measurements were in millimeters, centimeters, etc as I don't speak inches very well.
I need the following:
- axle diameter where the axle meets the bearing
- distance from one side of the hub to the next of the front wheel, including and excluding the speedo drive
- distance between fender bolts on each fork and across forks
- length of pivot between triple trees
- distance from disc to disc
- pivot diameter
- any other dimesnions that might be useful for someone considering using this front end on a different bike
