There wasn't an organized ride in Toronto last year but there is one this year.

There is a date and time but no location or any other details.

Somebody created a ton of these events on facebook. Was the intention to plant the seed and hope somebody jumps in and sets up the details?

Perhaps. Torontonians equate apathy with coolness so an organized ride this year may or may not happen.

I have set myself the target of getting the bike on the road for the London ride, so fingers crossed will be there.

There's definitely going to be a Sydney (Oz) ride!

My participation will depend on the details, such as the weather, route, etc.. Not an event a firm believer in the ATGATT equation can be comfortable with!

Crazy

Oh great, now they've turned it into a charity ride with pledges. What was a fun idea is now soliciting donations. Why does there always have to be a charity angle to motorcycle meets and rides? It's like motorcycling is a sin and we must atone by raising money for causes? No longer interested.

Sorry you have lost interest in the event, I am attending for the first time this year on a recomendation from a guy that went last year. My understanding is that the charity bit has always been there but is optional.
I registered for the London ride yesterday without opting in to the sponsorship option. Your choice DrJ but You could be missing a great ride.

If it's optional then I may join in. I just don't like feeling pressured into hitting up my friends for pledges.

It's definitely optional, we have 10 or so riders signed up for the Phoenix ride and only one other than myself has registered for fund raising.

If I hit people up for money this month I won't be able to use my mustache to hawk funds in Movember. Also It irritates me that Gentleman Jack glommed all on to this.

I may just have to see about hosting a Memphis alternate location next year. Riding in that city is a death wish... Several of the bikes at my place would fit in fine, 1500 Drifter done up 1947 style and the rider generally wears a collar and tie with his riding breeches and knee boots, the Savage has been rebuilt in a 194os style with low bars and I can do the period gear pretty easily... Break out the street TT bike if it is back together for next year's event, even have an ancient (1920s) police bike siren to hang on it for the ride, sheriff's department cream and green color scheme...

It is raining today, or I'd have called in sick and done the ride this year.

Had a great day out in London on the smallest lowest tec bike there.

I love the H100, always starts 1st or second kick, picked it up cheep on fleebay as a rolling chassis and a box of bits.
I just slaped it back together and put a rear mudguard on and away she went. Great around town as you can realy chuck it about....
