DIY fuel filter?

Does anyone know of any ways to make your own fuel filter. I know they are cheap but my petcock and carb inlet are so close together that i am unable to fit any fuel filters. It always crimps the line or has some weird angle to it that keeps it from functioning.
Any ideas anyone?! like maybe a filtered line itself?

You can loop the fuel line around to give yourself room - gravity finds a way.

Problem is finding a love station anywhere but Nevada

There are some pancake-styles that are frequently used for mowers and other power equipment... like this one

Post a pic or tell us exactly how much room you have to work with. But as Rich said, loop the line if you have to.

Adding a couple inches of fuel line won't hurt anything, seriously just buy one for 8$ and 4$ worth of fuel line and call it a day. Or spring for the ethanol filter and pay 14$...

You can get small 90 degree fuel filters...

the problem with the 90 degree filter is that mine angle between lines is more of 45 degrees and once again crimps the hell out of the line. ok ill post a pic

Nevermind i figured it out!!!
I ended up smashing one of the 20 (not really) i bought and jamming the mesh into a decent size tube then with hose clamps going to the smaller tubing im using its working like a champ......till it clogs up haha

believe me ive tried. i literally have 6 fuel filters sitting in front of me. I did not however try the looping method. This is only for now seeing as how this is my daily driver.
