Do I need to replace my valve??

Tristan

Been Around the Block
Ok, So Ive lapped all of my valves with no problem at all. I have a smooth seal with an even grind all around the diameter of the valve and seaton all but 1. Ive reached my last exhasut valve and the grind Ive produced is not consistent all around the valve. So if you rotate it youll see the grind mark wander up down. The valve shaft is straight, but it does have a little wear mark where its definately been riding. This area isnt worn enough to show a fluctuation on my calipers though...so its less then a .0001 difference. The seat on the cylinder head is even and consistant, with a nice ring all the way around. I cant imagine it would make a seal with such an inconsitant grind. Is my valve simply shot or what??

Thanks in advance fellas

its a "74 cb350f

the head is straight and all of the valve seats are within spec.
I read a couple articles online about exhaust valves getting warped, I'm hoping this is what has gone down.
The valve also fits within the guide with absolutely no play, so I guess I'll take the first step and just simply buy a new valve, lap it and see how it looks
