+1 on OP. Just had the displeasure of dealing with the dude. I wish i saw this thread before...Someone recommended Tony to me. He works at the part counter of Ready Honda Powersports. He did the exact same MIA my phones broken, i lost my phone, health issues. Two months in i dropped by and almost no work whatsoever was done. Just tires mounted and fork seals changed in two months... I asked him for a measuring tape, he didn't own one. I was about to pull the plug but gave him second chances. Eventually I had to demand the bike back and work on it myself. Big mistake choosing this guy. He has no motivation or work ethic and clearly does not have any expertise or professionalism.
-He had my exhaust laying on the floor scratching it. --Lost some of my bolts & nuts that are needed for my blinkers and other parts.
-He damaged my front forks somehow its scraped down to the metal by the seal.
-He installed the front tire backwards
-He left air pods loose, one fell off. exhaust was loose and had to be bolted down. back tire guides were left dangling.
-on several occasions he said he would do something specific like deliver the bike, call me or e-mail me and then goes missing for a couple days. coincidence?
Oh yes this if my first post too. I usually lurk on forums like SOHC4 and read the DIY's and GTA motorcycle etc. So yeah my post count will remain low as heck here. Either way its my mistake for getting into this situation i take ownership of it. learned from it.. Its hard to find someone to work on a vintage bike.. I really just wanted help with the carbs and mounting the tires.
