DO THE TON - Barber Vintage Festival - Alabama October 7-8-9 2011

Ace Cafe, Cafe Racer TV, DO THE TON and Dime City Cycles Take OVER Barber!

Registration submitted. Whether Nixon is in it or not this is going to be a great show. Thanks to Tim and the guys at DCC for putting this together.

[I wonder if Herm is doing this just so he can win another show and stand next to some more foxy ladies.]

Wow! This is the best news I've heard all week (and its been a real shitpile of a week) so I have a quetion. If I register for the bike show, and im already in for the parade lap, how does the logistical stuff work for that? And that's assuming my ride is nice enough to be in the show. Does the show last all weekend? Just saturday? If I die can I be buried there in a little slice of heaven? Etc. This is awesome!

Excellent question about getting your bike out of the show etc. for the parade lap. I'll check in with Jason to see how we can work that out. Some people will be commuting to and from the Festival on their 'show' bikes so we're going to need a way of getting in and out, provided Barber will help us sort that.

Festival runs Oct 7-8-9 at Barber Vintage Museum - just outside Birmingham AL. No deadlines (yet) :)

Don't need any fancy pics - just being used to see what the bike looks like in general - don't sweat the small details - we need lots of entries ASAP.

Ok ill register in the morning when I have work internet. This psuedo cell phone connection at home wont let me send pics.

Still trying to figure out if I can "pull the trigger" on the trip. If I do I'll register "Bad Penny" (360 tracker build) Would love to see all you guys.

So, who's driving down from the PA area? I'm at this point very likely buying a small trailer and hauling my XS down behind my MINI :D and am travelling from Toronto to Moody. Would be cool to meet up with anyone else hauling from the area around Pittsburgh or wherever. It's an ~18 hour drive for me, so I'm going to be doing it in two stages I figure, so if I can meet up with anyone for the 2nd leg or along the way that would be cool.

It's really nothing that special - leaking oil like a sieve and having trouble finding neutral. It's gaining a patina really quickly ;)

All that just means its got character and is ridden like a bike should be ridden, and not a garage/trailer queen like a lot of chopper guys!

I. Don't suppose there's any word yet on ability to get from the bike show to th parade lap? Id like to register for the show, but don't wanna jeopardize the lap.

Hey man,

Rich and I are rolling out from the Pittsburgh area Thursday morning. As of right now, he will be stopping in West Virginia to pick me up. If you want to meet in West Virginia, just let us know.
