As an old dude, it is my duty to talk about the weather. :p

Just saw our forecast and they are calling for rain here from Wednesday through the weekend. So with thoughts of loading the truck in the rain, I checked the B-ham extended forcast: http://weather.weatherbug.com/AL/Birmingham-weather/local-forecast/7-day-forecast.html?zcode=z6286
Hope for the best, but bring your rubbers childrens. :D

IIRC the year before my first was a washout, that would be six (?) years ago.

Don't trust an Alabama forecast until the morning of!

Hell, if it's anything like Georgia it might not be raining across the street.

It's typical in Dixie for the weather to change drastically bi-hourly so I wouldn't sweat it!

Right on dudes (and dudettes!)!! One more work day then we're packin' up and blasting off!! :D

Like Tim, I'm promising sunny and hot. And just to seal it, I'm picking up my rain gear tomorrow!! ::) ;D

I'll have rain gear in the top of the packs, or on depending on weather when I hit the road tomorrow. I hope I don't break anything on the GL when I change the starter because it is down to the wire for sure!

Any one around Bham yet that knows why or can help me figure out why my points (sohc cb750)keep igniting the gas in a delay out of time that makes my bike sound like an open ended potato cannon when I fire it off!way out of time, but I'm set on the center of the slots ,I'm just throwing it on this thread because I was hoping I could get some actual in person help if anyone is here yet!!

See ya this evening, man. Ride safe.

HA!
The weather is back to mostly sunny again
I need to be a weather man.
The worlds only job where you can always be wrong and still keep your job.

Tell that to James Spann. He takes his job very seriously. Btw, he's a legend on the Birmingham news. He'll tell you what STREET a tornado is about to roll down.

http://www.alabamawx.com/?p=78584

He is so trusted that his false prediction about a snow and ice storm resulted in mass car abandonment and potentially several deaths in the Birmingham area. We don't handle cold weather well in the south...

Oh I'm sure it's worse there... Significantly higher population and that city is an absolute clusterfuck as far as city planning
During last year's ice storm they "knew" it was coming, but everyone went to work and they sent kids to school anyway. Then the storm hits and everyone tries to go home at the same time, so you can imagine what happened next. People were stranded on 85 for more than 16 hours. It took my friend's wife 8 hours to go 3 miles. Her sister stayed at a stranger's apartment that posted on Facebook they were taking people in. Clusterfuck hardly describes it. LOL.

OK folks - you've started converging on Alabama - post your pics, updates etc!

I'm leaving tonight and will arrive Thursday evening - see you all there.

Last time I heard from Maritime, he had run out of gas somewhere on 95. Ha. But he's back on the road now.

Wouldn't be right without someone running out of gas along the way.
