Do you wear gloves?

Yeah I kinda have a phobia myself about spilling and my hands getting skinned to ribbons on asphalt. Gloves, gloves, gloves. Funny tho, in the middle of summer ill wear gloves but no jacket wilst around down in the low speed zones. Yeah, I know, sort of oxymoronic....

Pair of thin leather gloves I found in a local ACE Hardware Store. Been wearing them for years and they are oil and sweat stained all to Hell now.Wouldnt trade them for a new pair of anything.bj

Yeah I rock these right now... not the best protection, but they are decent... I know if i crash bad however I will have some broken bones in my hand. They seem to be wearing well for the summer season... kevlar is nice too!

But I also have a pair of A* SP-1's that are great and offer a ton of protection... but they kinda look like I am going to try to take on Rita Repulsa

I got a pair of joe rocket leather gauntlets I got on close out in a bright yellow and black, but they are 120.00 gloves and I got them for 40. Those are vented leather and are fine fro summer. I have a pair of insulated leather I wear in the spring and fall that are warmer not sure of the brand but they are armoured and padded, I also where a pair of leather mitts with sheep skin liner when temps get below freezing but I ride until the snow hits ;D

I can't stand gloves. Although I probably should wear them. I don't want to mess up my left hand and not be able to play guitar anymore.

Well i think this thread may have sealed the deal. I've got some shop gloves but now I might just move up to something with some armor.

I went down twice wearing unlined thin leather gloves (lambskin??) and never had a scratch on my hands. I did break a metacarpal in my right hand when I slapped the mirror off the Cordoba that I hit but that wasn't the fault of the gloves.

The first crash, when I broke the bone, wasn't hard on me but totalled the bike. The second crash was a trip to McDonnalds. My hands were clean though.

That broken metacarpal (bone in my hand) hurt for a fat man for months every time I tried to grip a wrench or screwdriver. Cramped my style!

I didn't damn the Cordoba like I damned the 14oz Sparrow Hawk that blindsided me in the sternum at 55mph. Knocked me out before I knew I was hit. The bike ended up in a friend's yard and I was unconcious in the high weeds across the street. He found me looking for pieces of the mangled bike in his yard. Class 3 separation left shoulder, subluxing dislocation left shoulder, torn rotator cuff left shoulder, twisted low back, extensive contusions and abrasions and I was knocked stupid fro three days. Killed the hawk and almost got in trouble for taking feathers as a souvenir!!!

That was 25 years ago and my left shoulder predicts the weather better than Mike Sidell!!!

Figured I'd give this thread a bump and welcome RRAL as a site advertiser and supporter of DTT. They're running a special, free shipping! Hope that shows the change in my tune TJ.
Respect!

Best gloves I've tried on, hands down. They fit nice, snug and conform to your hands once they're broken in.
