Either way I have the original file, and a backup.

The book is awesome and its because of the great bikes that are in it. The photography in the DTT Life section and several photos of the bikes in the book are some really talented work. Hopefully by volume II this whole process will be a lot smoother and more reasonable in price. I will keep my eye out for a better deal.
 
Have you tried Blurb.com? similar idea as its an online publisher. I've seen the quality and its pretty good. Plus you get to choose the format.

I think when you make an account there is an offer for a coupon for a free book, like a buy one get one deal. So that would cut the price in half and be less in shipping, just have to team up when you order. I am sorry about the hassle on this. I am glad that there seems to be some price breaks here and there.

Let me know what you find out with the other company.......i dont like dealing with organizations (publisher companies and the like) that cant stand behind thier offers. I mean look how many people want the book.
 
Dude, I know. I tried to tell them during several conversations I had with their team over the last few months. Their loss of we go elsewhere for the next book.
 
well i hope they get their heads on straight because for some reason they don't see the light. Smart move by looking around anyway. Nothing like being able to drop a company who wants to be stupid about things and moving on to another. Usually the replacement is more than willing to work with you.

Great! I just got one in also and in hard copy is does look really good. Is anyone keeping track of how many of these get ordered? Might be good to know for future reference. Although I think the next volume will be even better and get a bigger response. I am thinking on kicking off the process for volume 2 in September. I have a system established now so the time factor should be much more reasonable. I also have some new graphical ideas to enhance the next book. Some additional sections I am considering in addition to the DTT members gallery and Life sections are a brat/bobber section, a DTT bike of the month club section and possibly a girls of DTT section. But it all depends on the submissions from the members, what the forum will allow and the over all cost of the book which is based on size and pages. My goal is to keep it under $45. So the more books ordered this time around will be negotiating ammo for volume 2. -MBS

Well, all I gotta say is, "The First Edition (in hard cover) ROCKS"!! ;D ;D
