What would features/functions would you guys like to see in an app? and would you guys pay $0.99 for it?

How bout a free parts function? As is in I need a free Acewell gauge... That would be nice. :)

1) what about identifying where you are and finding DDT rides and hangouts based on your location..,
2) searchable app for finding parts for sale or trade on DDT
3) ability to post up local rides / events from the iphone
4) thread posts that I am following on the DDT web to my iphone

I did a search on itunes and nothing came up for "Modern Vespa"... I checked/searched their site and I couldnt find a link/thread to a specific iphone app for them...

Weird. Maybe they pulled it. I know they had one a year or two ago. I'll see if I can find anything.

AHHH, I guess they ditched the app for an iPhone (mobile) formatted website. Looks pretty good when you navigate there on your phone. There's also an app called tapatalk that I think you can have them add the forum to or something. I'll look into it.

EDIT: yep. http://www.tapatalk.com/. The app for you to add the forum is free, but the full featured app cost 3 bucks for us.
 
I will never have one, however if I did I wouldent mind:

Map- Pubs in area
- Part stores in area
- Race tracks in area
- Gas stations in area
- Resturants in area


Other- Automatic updates on parts for sale that fit specified bike
- Updates on related events in area ie. Races, Shows, Rides, etc...
- Stranded/ HELP! function ie. Im riding solo, just broke down, call nearest DTT'er to come
for help.
- In a Loco jacket- Take a picture of anyone and impose one of Locos jackets on top of
the person
in the picture ;)
 
Awesome idea..The tapatalk thing is pretty easy..

I'd pay whatever for it..The site is hell on my droid
 
Id love to see the DTT "chat-box" live on my iphone...

imagine.. out riding.. bike breaks down on the side of the road....

whip out the iphone.. click DTT iphone app.. instantly chat whomever is on the chat-box to get ideas on why the bike failed??!!...

Instant tech support!!..

theres always someone on the chat box!!..
 
I get a new phone in September and I'm sure it'll be a droid. I would easily pay $3 for a DTT app. ;D

nothing really, except that my MSN/AIM list doesnt always have DTT guys/gals on it.
I find that there is always someone DTTer on it...

Besides, if I broke down somewhere Id think that some random DTTer on the Chat box would be more help than lets say my mom on MSN messenger...
 
I think it would be sweet to have a database mapped out. So when your in a certain area, it tells you which members you are near, how to contact them, maybe have notifications for upcoming rides in the area.
Just an idea. Of course I don't have a smartphone :p. I'm just a computer nerd.

Hey Tim.. Isnt there something we could add to the site for that... some kind of google maps?.. I believe I've seen something like that on SOHC4 before...
then we could have the iphone app pull that data...
 
getting the site running really well on mobiles would be a good start. worry about chat n shit later, but maybe do a solid m.dotheton.com first? pretty universal that way.
 
I would love to have an app, especially with push notifications when someone posts on my post or on the same thread as me...and I cannot forget the ability to instantly upload photos!
