DTT meet @ Barber Vintage Festival 2010

yeah twisted, I'm glad you enjoy it... But I wish you'd stop calling me while you're doing it. I mean, I know it's you because your number shows up...

I'm kinda hoping something follows me home. ;D

It's not a Barbers festival if your car doesn't return full of as the wife calls it "useless crap". Bikes there were CHEAP last year. I bought a CB360 parts bike COMPLETE for $100.

The wifeage and I will be there as well as our boys. We go every year. I don't know if I will have a bike there other than to sell, but we will be there.

I can't make it this year (just laid off) but I went last fall and it was amazing. The museum is sick. That "Old Man Barber" definitely has Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder" THANK GOD!
I went down in my TDI wagon and stayed in a motel about 30 minutes away.
Had to drive through a small tornado on the way down.
The track is all hills and curves. You'd have to be pretty sharp to get around that.

I'd love to go! But like Diesel said school is in session. But if anyone else from Minnesota/Wisconsin is going I may have to make a weekend trip.

Just found this thread, sounds like a great time...I have it marked on my calendar.
I'm not sure if I'll have a new project then but I am excited by idea of attending event.

I think I saw a few of the Philly area folks getting together. Anyone thought about
maybe renting a passenger van and dragging down a big trailer (bike, parts, gear, etc)
Depending on number of folks maybe a conversion van... Also after making it to Barber
the trailer can be used for lodging (enclosed or open)

May help reduce individual cost, driver fatigue, etc.

Just my 2 cents.

I hear you man. Its tough though, That time of year kids are in school so yada yada yada on all that stuff. You gotta hope for the southeast contingent representing. Having said that I am really hoping I can make the trip down. I'm seriously trying to work it out. I just need to find a buddy or two to make the drive. I've already worked out the use of a conversion van and trailer and I'd be happy to pick up on the way down!!

If I can swing a sitter for my son to get away I will ride down to Portland and meet you. load up the 450 and share gas etc. What dates are you thinking Diesel? I will have to scrounge but I would love to make it to this. I can get to Portland by car in like 5 hours, got to be faster on a bike if I don;t need to much gear.

Just checked the dates and it falls right on the Canadian thanksgiving so I will have the Monday off anyway from work. Whoo hoo only need to take like 1-2 days off work for this, And of course sweat talk the wife big time. But maybe she will want to come....anyway I will work on it.

Cheers,

As of today we only have 8 confirmed members coming to Barber right now!
Hmmm, I pm'ed Kiley a while ago ???
I'll be there. And since I'm picking up the Rebel for the wife, she'll probably be there too.
I made my reservations around November last year. I stay free at Holiday Inn so I won't be camping overnight, but I'll be there hanging out with the crew otherwise. And I'll be bringing a crapload of snacks with me too (CheezIts, Party Mix, Rice Krispy Treats, etc.) ;)

If we make it down I'll bring a whole array of bacon themed goodies

You guys better make it, it would not be a DTT event without you two! I could say this about many others too, so everyone should come! Oh, and now that you have mentioned bringing bacon goodies to the party, you must!

I plan on attending though i moving very soon out of Birmingham and the state...graduating an got a j-o-b, so i may be camping( Eagle scout here)

btw Kiley havent heard form u in a while hit me up, im on the road now!
