I hadn't checked the thread for confirmation of the "holdover" before I left, but after thinking about it, I remembered a Haunt that might qualify for both.
I present to you, Magnolia Lane Plantation...
Magnolia Lane has been featured on the TV shows "Scariest Places on Earth" and "Ghost Adventures". It's not actually boarded up, but the "Main House" shown in the pic is vacant/abandoned. The people who own the property used to live in the house (many years ago), but after experiencing strange things, they quite literally dropped everything and never went back in the house again. A much newer house was built towards the rear of the property, which is where they reside.
The two locations I mentioned previously are Ormond Plantation and Destrehan Plantation. Both have documented hauntings, but both are very well maintained and offer tours, restaurants, B&B's, etc. Had I had the time to ride, I could've made this mark much sooner, and could've probably crashed the server with pics/locations! New Orleans is known to be one the most haunted cities in the country
But just in case that wasn't going to cut it, I got this one on the way back...
Vacant and boarded up, old Circle K convenience store
New mark:
Your bike, and a Military installation. It can be current, historic, big, small, whatever.
(bonus points if someone in uniform is posing with your bike)
