Dual Disc Fork Legs

I know this is subjective, but from the list below what would be the best choice for dual disc forks on a 380lb bike? I'm mounting a Kimtab with dual discs onto the Triumph and don't see an easy way to mount dual calipers on the lower legs. I can swap in a set of 35mm forks with calipers and rotors from a dual disc bike and make everything fit with only a custom width bearing/rotor carrier.

I would keep an eye out for whatever shows up locally at the right price. Many of those are in the "affordable" range. Off the top of my head I would go with GS or GT Suzuki.

I wasn't thinking, but I have the front end off the CB750 sand cast I'm parting out that turns out to be sand cast frame and engine, but I'm finding out most of the rest was parted on from a K0-K1 after the wreck back in the 70's. The front end I have already has the Kimtab mounted and one disc. I just don't really like the caliper set up on the CB and would prefer a more modern dual 4-6 pot fixed calipers.

I'm running modern GS dual calipers on KZ750 forks on my CB750. The catch with the 4 or 6 caliper units is they require a significantly larger width to account for the calipers on both sides of the disc. They won't work with vintage wheels.

You're assuming the fork spacing on the Triumph is the same as a CB. There are a lot of Brembo's that are not much if any wider than a GS caliper on the inside. Plus I think there is more clearance on the spokes on a Kimtab than on a spoke wheel.
What modern GS calipers are they, GSXR? or earlier GS model. I like the Tokico's, if they clear the forks they would work just fine. Found a set on eBay for $66.

GS500. And I'm running GPZ mags. I looked at modern Ninja calipers. I don't assume the spacing is the same, but for those calipers, the difference would have to be a lot. If there are some that will work, I'd like to know as well.

What will work on my application may not work on yours. I'll keep you posted when I start putting parts together. If you don't mind could you get me a measurement on fork spacing width on your forks?

My fork spacing is 6 inches at the tree and 5-5/8 inches at the wheel. The only modern caliper I tried was the 2003 Ninja, which are 3-1/4 inches wide. The disc is centered on those calipers, so as you can imagine they require 8-7/8 inches fork spacing at the wheel to work as dual disc; or a wheel with a much narrower center profile. I have a dual disc KZ mag that I hope to find a way to swap out, but with at least a dual caliper rig instead of the single caliper the KZ came with.

Swapping different brands of parts has created nothing but more issues to deal with. So I have decided to just buy a used set of lower sliders and weld on the necessary caliper mounts to them using Triumph calipers to keep things factory looking. Using any other than a Triumph fork tube would require the top of the tube to be machined with a taper to fit the top tree. These Triumph calipers are cheap at $50 a pair. I'll center the wheel on the axle, slide the calipers onto the rotor and then put air to them to lock them on the rotor and then figure the spacing needed for the weld on mounts. 4 weld on lugs, 2 per side and I'm done. No fork issues, no tapering of metric fork tubes, no having to switch to Jap triple trees and having gauge mounting issues. Everything will be stock except the wheels and brakes. Also keeps the stock fender mounts, which would have been an issue with any other lower leg.

Triumph 955 calipers, most of the other Triumph calipers are Brembo or Nissin:

Appreciate all the input from you guys to keep my brain working to find a solution.

Ordered my calipers/lines and master cylinder today. Also bought a used set of forks to use the lower legs for modifying for caliper mounting tabs. Can't wait to see what it looks like. Wish I knew how to photoshop.
