DWMS Racing / RAM Cafe-Moto partnership

that is great news!!! glad to hear it

Thanx for all your encouragement Joe. It's the enthusiasm coming from this site that has been the instigation for getting involved [ again ] in the Cafe Racer industry. I tell you guys, it's infectious.

There are certainly some exciting products and merchandise which will be new to the US and Canadian shores and by setting up this deal with DWMS Racing we will be able to keep the carriage costs as low as possible. It also makes a point of referrence for product information and product servicing in the US.

For instance the RAM Mono Shox and RAM Classic Twinshox are fully rebuildable - that said in almost 400 sales [ bike ] we haven't sold one rebuild kit ! Now I wouldn't insult most of you guys by saying send the item back for rebuild as you could probably do that in your sleep - but SOME will have less skills and feel more comfortable if rebuilt professionally. There IS a 2 year guarantee, but you never know when a rebuild might be needed. To put that into perspective - we've sold over 2000 of the RAM shox for Cobra and C Type replicas - and not one rebuild kit!

There will also be a range of old Advertising Posters [ A3 ] - BSA, Norton, Triumph, Matchless, Enfield etc., etc..... These are fully copyright permission granted repros of the originals. Oh yes, and some Vespa and Lambretta - no Mods here eh ?

All in all, stuff which may not otherwise make it accross the pond. Jeez, wish I was 40 years younger !

Sample poster attached - NOTE - very low resolution thumbnail - posters are top quality.

Well, I'm a Mod AND a Rocker! Oh and neither because I'm old. But real Mods rode Lambretta's!

Oh shite, my old man must have been a mod then cause he rode a lambretta, but also had a gilera 250.... and he smoked hash... in orlando Florida... wtf?

Brother Beachcomber sent me some samples of the artwork that we will be providing so I thought I would post a sample for you all to see! Naturally the actual prints will be of higher quality and they will not have the dwmsracing.com watermark across them.

I should also point out that a good sprinkling of these prints come with the DTT logo to reinforce the Cafe Racer bond. There's 16 lined up and 12 will be chosen for the DTT calendar. Maybe we'll have a vote on which 12 ?

for some reason i can not see them... but i have some of Beachcombers art work framed in my shop... TOP notch!!!! i love it

The DTT logo ?

They're not on every piece of work as this artwork started out purely for a UK based Calendar. After I discussed the possibilities of a "DTT Specific" Calendar for forum members, John Hancox agreed to put the logos on to suitable work. Remember at this time most of the artwork had been completed or at least roughed out.

You'll also see the Cafe-Moto logo on some - again that was at my request to promote the "not going back to the 60's" theme.

In the 9 months since this project began things have moved on to the point where I want to actively promote the CR brand andthe deal I have struck with John is that the artwork is now completely under the banner of Cafe-Moto. Most of the artwork has been revamped during that time and new art added - to the point where we now have 16 images ! Although the majority are English or European orientated there are a couple of Classic Japanese CR's. I'm hoping that if this goes well, John can be persuaded to produce more Japanese art for the "next" Calendar ! He needs a rest now after all his efforts in 2011 on our behalf.

I have also discussed the viability of having the prints available in larger formats for garage / workshop display.

Finally - for you DTT guys who said they wanted the DTT /UK patch and decal and or the Cafe-Moto versions Brother Joe has agreed to be the drop ship address for the US and Canada. Please contact him direct with your orders. The shipment is leaving on Monday and should be there within a week. This way we can get the shipping costs down a little.

There is a finite amount on this first shipment as I only had 100 of each of the patches and 56 [?] of each of the decals - take up in the UK has been excellent and I know there's at least 15 of you out there who've contacted me directly.

BTW - thanx to everyone else who offered to be a drop ship address.

I am honored to be able to distribute these patches and will actually be the first customer here in the U.S. as they will definately be on my new DWMS Racing uniforms!

Very nice, all of it! I will be e inquiring soon about pricing on some stuff guys..

Brothers the new DWMS Racing online store will officially open within the first couple weeks on Febuary however as we are currently adding new features to the DWMS Racing official website including a new toolbar we went ahead and added the link to the store. I am currently still working on adding products and descriptions as well as the final pricing however some of the parts are available for viewing now. I would love to hear any feedback on the stores layout and features so that I may continue to improve it! We are currently working on a new banner design for the top of the store also so there is just a basic DWMS logo at the top of the page.

The first batch of Cafe Moto and DTT UK chapter patches and decals are on their way now and should be available next week, the full line of new DWMS Racing patches and apparel will be available in a couple of weeks.

To access the store go to the official DWMS Racing website dwmsracing.com and click on store at the top of the page.

Let me chime in on this one.

I get my kicks these days putting back into my hobby what I've taken out. In this case that means helping Brother Joe to get his hands on all sorts of goodies that might otherwise not be available, and / or at better prices to make available for you guys.

That being the case - just let either of us know if there is a particular item you want to track down - or in the case of something that might be available here in the UK. Can't guarrantee - but I'll do my best this end.

This is a good team-up, glad to see it happening fellas.
I love the fact that some more....authentic(?) stuff will be available.

You better believe it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've already done a deal with the original producers of the Avon Half fairing - as per Velocette, Royal Enfield, etc.,etc. NOT a copy - taken from the original moulds, by the original fabricators.

Deal also done with Amal Carbs. - fitted to almost every Brit Bike from the 40's - including old original TT and GP carbs [ ask Hoof about them ! ] Their Mk2 Concentric is a popular alternate conversion in the UK for Japanese bikes of the 70's and 80's.

I'm looking for authentic period pieces - as well as modern equipment.
