Makes perfect sense up there. Short race, changing O2 content in atmosphere, loads of torque for fast acceleration after each corner...

Honestly when the price comes down, I'd be all over a Zero or other electric motorcycle for local commuting etc. But I won't be going on any 10 day rides on one yet, unless I pack a Honda generator

The BRD electric MX/supermoto bike is allegedly turning faster times than its gas-powered equivalents underneath the same riders.

The designers chose an application which maximizes the benefits of electric while nullifying the biggest drawback (range).
