Electronic Ignition

What type of ignition are you guys using and how do you like it. I am using the Pamco on my 450 with E advance and had one bad one and had to fix the second. Still not sure if it is still working properly when it is reved up. Also have not got any response from pamco. Have seen on other blogs that im not the first one to have costumer service issues or multiple problems. Would like to try another if it is trouble free, cheeper is not always better when you spend 2 weeks trouble shooting.

The BoreTech unit for the 450 is meant to be pretty good.

Not cheap though.

How about the Dyna unit?

Sorry you have had some bad luck with the PAMCO E-Advancer for the CB450. We have done some additional work on the product and now have a revised program and a new rotor. PM your address and I will send you both.

I like how small the sensors are on this one so they don't shake loose.

Sure wouldn't mind getting rid of the mechanical advance on my CB350. *wink* *wink wink* *wiiink*

We're almost there. We have done some field tests for the CB350 and I think we have resolved the problems we had with the initial introduction of the product. Hopefully, we will be able to open up the web site in the next couple of weeks for sales. www.cb350ignition.com

My GS300 suzuki has electronic ignition. It uses magnetic pick ups. It is an "odd fire" arrangement that appears similar to the CB350.

I would like to know if electronic ignition controls such as these discussed, for the CB 350, would work on another application that already has magnetic pick-ups for the stock ignition.

In my automotive experience using various ignition controls that use a magnetic pick-up, it is irrelevant what type of pick-up is used. It can be the stock unit, an aftermarket unit, or a crank trigger that uses any kind of available pick-ups. I would suspect that is also the case with motorcycle units.
