It is more likely to rot out than it is to crack. Emgo uses very cheap steel and very soft (easy to damage) chrome that is put on far too thin to be of much use. I have a set of late 60s or early 70s Rocky shorty glass packs on my 63 CL72, ugly as sin but still can be cleaned up and used. Actually in better shape than the CB72/77 header pipes.
Check the weld lines on the mounting box, quality control is pretty poor. A lot of garbage gets boxed and sent. I've had an Emgo/Motoasia glass pack and fishtail extension pipe on the Savage since 2000 or so, no cracks, but the chrome flaked off within a year at any place that gets excessively warm (like around the baffle ends).
And the rubber bushing couldn't hurt anything.
