Exhaust and muffler

A bit of advice needed from those more experienced ones! Do you guys think the muffler is too close to the rear tyre?

Thanks,

Thomas

P. S. Sorry if I am hijacking the thread ;-)

Ah yes the bent mounting plate is a good idea, can't believe I never thought to do it :) First change to make when I'm home again

Only if you spend too much time with the bike idling at the lights!

Crazy

Well I ride to work through Mosman and Neutral bay... so idling at the lights is pretty much all you do in peak hours :-(

Hi Thomas, if you look on page 93 of the thread The SkyTeam 'Ace' Resource you will see my exhaust is exactly the same (noisy type). I have no problems what so ever with exhaust heat on tyre. I'll try to get a good photo of muffler bracket on mine as it tucks the muffler quite tight away. The bracket has two 90 degree bends in it. Cheers, Tad.

Here you are Thomas, this makes it tucked tight in.

Wow thats really short. I expect that it would give it some low speed torque?

Here's my new header (from ooracing) and muffler from flea bay.

Updated Photo in the sunshine.

Clipons, bar mirrors, removed airbox, relocated smaller battery, tidy electrics.

2,048 Km

Nice patina on the stainless exhaust. I would say it's probably a tad louder than what would be deemed legal, but only when winding it up :)

Hi Steveo, Looking real good. Nice dampers. I have fitted what seems to be the same clippys, I then changed switch's, smaller master cylinder and lever clamps to tidy H/Bar dept (no clutter now) Feel free to take a look. TAD.

Great day today.

Went for a blast on my FJ1200 300km round trip, beautifull day!

And finished my DIY snail cams for the rear wheel/chain adjuster.

Got rid of those dodgy pushbike looking adjusters...

Last mod to do is a quick throttle 1/8 twist. But probably next year as I am just going to ride it for now.

Have another project I am starting on.
I don't really do build threads. But it most definitely will do the ton, and in a quick time too
