exhaust pipe inlet size

Hey everyone. I'm bidding on some pipes for my GS 400 cafe, but I don't know the inlet size I need. I'm pretty sure the pipes are 1.5 inches in diameter, but the bike isn't here.

Does anyone know the standard size of the exhaust pipe on early 80's japanese bikes?

Ask the person selling the pipes what the diameter is. If they want to sell the things they'll more then likely check for you.
I ask sellers questions all the time for info about parts...either I get an answer or they simply dont reply.

How long is a piece of string?
There is no 'standard' size plus dual skinned pipes can have vastly different internal diameters :
