Failed deals

I wanted to make a thread and ask other about deals they had that failed because im frustrated about mine.I was going to buy a gl1000 fornt end locally from a guy that makes tike's and we had set a date but i had something come up and he promptly told me that it didint matter he had already sold it the day before even thought i had planned 2 weeks in advance to pick it up. I was incredibly miffed

No i just didint bother to even respond to his email haha

I don't know if you've ever tried to sell anything, buy people are notoriously flaky when it comes to buying stuff online. He probably thought you were too.

This. I get to browse craigslist all day for a good part of my job (finding cars) and the name of the game is timing. Soon as that ad comes up, you have to be on it. I've gotten tons of great things for amazing prices by being diligent.

Other times I took a 3 hour drive only to find that the thing I wanted was completely misrepresented and the photographs were some 10 years old. Those are the worst.

Pictures are always deceiving on craigslist. I can't count how many times I have been disappointed with bikes on cl. And when you drive all that way its hard to leave empty handed haha.
