Favorite Punk or Psychobilly Band and Album

Mmmm I'm kinda new to the psycobilly thing. I was listening to Reverend Horton Heat (best stage name ever) on an internet radio station and I came across Deadbolt. The self proclamed scariest band in the world. I cant get enough of them right now.
Also how about" Ghoul Town" and" Drink with the living dead". More southern rock/country than psycobilly but it does have undead gun slingers. ;D

cause i'm a truck drivi'n son a of a bitch. a readman chew'n, jo-jo eat'n... truck driving son of a bitch.... A $5 dallar shower, nudy girl happy our, truck driving son of a bitch...

They are one of my all time Fave's!

Please dont classify deadbolt as phyco.... That shit is for kids who live in a fantasy world where dead girls are fun to fuck..? I dont get it....

and for the record... PUNK STILL KICKS ASS... But phycabilly.... no thanks I stick with traditional billy,surf,honky-tonk ect... All you guys with you pudding bowls, checkers and your phyco CB's, hahaha I make myself laugh. Can have it!

Cro-mags!

Clutch does come through here periodically. I've seen them twice around here. My favorite of theirs is the classic 'careful with the mic.'
And as far as all girl surf rock goes, has anyone mentioned the 5.6.7.8's? That was the Japanese girl band at the restaurant in kill bill. And they did that woo hoo song from the vonage commercials.

Ya - Their on my pod too...

Agreed! Not sure how you would describe Deadbolt to someone who has never heard it.
Hey! whats wrong with a pudding bowl? I have a Skidmaster (yes thats the brand) that my mom used to wear.

After all the talk, I'll have to check out Deadbolt and Clutch as soon as I can. I listen to bunch of everything but Bad Religion, The Misfits and The Clash are ALWAYS in the rotation. I'm a little surprised Op Ivy already got some love here. I thought they were just a local Cali band only The Conspiracy fans would know. So just to keep name dropping punkers;
The Vandals, Street Dogs, Madball, Anti-nowhere League, The Addicts, Dead Kennedys, some of that old line-up Dropkick Murphy's, Agent Orange, TSOL, NOFX, Lagwagon, Social D, The Reverend Horton Heat, Against Me!, Stiff Little fingers, Pannywise, Sham 69 and Cockney Rejects are all on my "If you've got a couple minutes, check these out" list.

If you don't mind some horns check out Streetlight Manifesto (formerly Catch-22).
And just for shits and giggles Me First and the Gimme Gimmes are boss.

Edit: almost forgot.
Answer to the OP: Misfits - Static Age

Obviously the two most defining artists of our times. I'm surprised they weren't mentioned earlier.

No one favorite, just a bunch. Ramones, Screeching Weasel, Queers, Turbonegro, Supersuckers, The Living End, blah, blah, blah......

Yes, Screeching Weasel. Just listened to "group sex" again last week. Fucking awesome album.

Not punk but great
The tossers
The dublinders
The pouges
Drop kick
Did i mention the tossers?
I told you about the tossers right!!?

It may seem cliche now but I was 17 when Never Mind the Bullocks was released and the Pistols changed my life. My record collection took a turn from Aerosmith, Sabbath etc. I'd also nominate Agent Orange Living in the Darkness. That album kicks ass.

I'm listening to the new Bouncing Souls right now. Some of it is poppy, but you gotta love the bass lines in their stuff.
