Fenders? What Fenders?

To everyone who has a cafe or brat seat - what are you using as a stock replacement for the rear fender? I have seen pics of a lot of bikes with NO rear fender, but Im not sure how practical that is for a city rider. Chop the stock fender perhaps? Looking for ideas for my CB350.

Has anyone fabbed up a splash shield or something to stop rocks/spray from being thrown up on the carbs and engine? It could mount to the frame. I am thinking about doing that and ditching the rear fender alltogether.

I grabbed some lexan from lowes for like 5 bucks and cut it out and bolted it to the tabs for the original splash guard, works great and is pretty much invisible if you keep it clean 8)

Btw that seat it a Dime City Cycles seat but Motolanna, and Nitro Heads make em too. Their a bit pricey though...

I'm in a similar boat and am going to try mounting a stub of a fender-like thing off the back of my seat, bolted to the fabricated sub-frame that's supporting my seat. I have engine/carb spray protection already, stock on the bike.

This seat is also a Motolanna. Forgive it its useless "studs." I thought they were actual snaps.

You can tell the difference with the DCC seat because it doesn't have pleats like the Motolanna. Great lookin seats though!! Any more pics of that bike up top with the center shock and i think Ducati Monster seat?

I like what Spider-man did to his cb450, from the looks of it, he just chopped the rear fender and used it as a rock guard.

If you like I can make any width and any radius , any length fender you like in , steel , stainless , or aluminum and fairly priced. Also these would be curved top not flat top fenders , they can be done in aluminum diamond plate.
